Victorian oak sideboard circa 1920. This is a solidly constructed oak sideboard with later paint finish. A useful buffet sideboard raised on barley twist forelegs and under shelf bringing it to a great height for serving. The twin cupboard doors are decorated in a Jacobean style which is enhanced by the wear to the versatile cream paint finish. All doors and drawers have the original teardrop brass handles. Inside the right-hand cupboard is plenty of space with a useful shelf all finished in the original dark stain. The left-hand cupboard has two stripped oak inner drawers, one for storage and the other larger lower drawer has a partition section for bottle storage. Both have the original brass drawer pulls. The middle section which stands forward has three Jacobean style embellished drawers for even more storage space.
The deep solid oak top is waxed to enhance the beautiful grain and patina. All of the surface is finished in a pale cream paint which is worn, with gold coloured beaded trim throughout and gold detailing to the legs.
A perfect addition to a grand kitchen or dining room where guests are to be entertained and impressed.

About the values of our furniture
As well as caring passionately about the beauty and the quality of what we do, our furniture is produced using the most environmentally friendly methods and products that are available so that they may enhance the beauty of each piece and, in turn, enrich your environment without costing the earth. We source and refurbish original materials where possible; if reproduction materials need to be used such as keys or handles we only source them from homegrown craftspeople thereby supporting the skills and talents of the people within our communities. We do not support unethical or cruel regimes or industries that profit from destroying the life of the planet. Where possible we recycle everything that we use.
